Good location. Can get rooms away from the road.
Had to change rooms as my first one was next to a noisy generator which kept me awake. Would have felt safer with a hand rail all the way up the stairs.

My main worry when going to countries like this, is bugs in the room, but this place was really clean, no bugs at all! Quiet hotel but with the main bustling streets at it's doorstep, perfect location for exploring in Bangkok. Staff were really helpful too, and free safety boxes to lock up valuable when out for the day. Also offered a half day check out at half price.
I paid a good price for a VIP bus to Koh Samui from their travel agent, and expected the bus to take me to the port where i then took a boat. however the journey was extended by an extra 4 hours due to changing buses twice and getting a taxi mid journey. this was all included in the price but a big inconvenience, after such a long trip you just want it to be as smooth as posisble, not pulling luggage around and changing buses every few hours. advice, check this when buying tickets, most agency's do direct transfers.

This is a cool place to stay. Nice tidy and clean at a good location within the Kao San. It's also very quiet considering its not far from the hype of the back roads of busy Khao San.Definalely recommended.
This place can be tough to spot. Its at the back of Khao San on a narrow road so be patient while looking for it.

The staff are superb. One of the receptionists speech perfect english and helped me with everything from getting a thai sim card, to finding presents and even getting my trousers fixed. All for free, no tip accepted. Big thank you to Lemoon (probly spelt it wrong but she deserves a mention.) All the staff are excellent and nothing seems to be too much trouble. Rooms are clean, aircon works well, hot and cold water at all times and even an english movie channel Beds clean and comfortbale They have porters who help you with your luggage, and lockers so you leave stuff securely. Wifi is free, reasonabe speed and works in almost all rooms. I think there was a problem in just one or two, but each floor has a lounging area where interent worked. Location is perfect. It is in a quite sidealley but there are restaurants and bars all around and the famous khaosan road is only 10 minute walk away. It is also only ten minutes for the pier where you can catch river buses and i walked to the major tourist sites easily in an afternoon. The Government tourist office is also close to the pier Taxi to the major shopping malls and skytrain is about 80 baht. Airport is 30-40 minutes drive and should be no more than 500-600 baht. be careful of the "taxi" booking desk when you clear customs as it is for linousines and charges 1300 baht. If they ask fr money before you get in the taxi walk awy and go to the metered taxi rank.
At this price you would have to be very pickey to find anything wrong. However it is not very easy to find so I would advice you get a detailed map off the internet so the taxi driver doesnt get lst like mine did for half an hour
